Theatre plays in English (24th, 25th of February)

Last week our students attended two of the most famous tragedies by Shakespeare. We chose Romeo and Juliet for Secondary students and Hamlet for Bachillerato.

Both were didactic interactive plays, performed by the Oxford Pocket Theatre Company, in which some of our students became actors and actresses themselves. Both the improvised actors/actresses and the audience enjoyed the show and learned some of the “key lines from the original texts”.

It is a perfect way of making Shakespeare’s plays more fun and accessible to young people.

Cordoba Sightseeing Tour

On the 27^th and 29^th of October our ESO4 students went on a tour around Cordoba on the sightseeing bus. Pretending to be “English tourists”, they listened to the audio-guide in English and answered  some information questions to check their understanding.  Here is some more information about this interesting activity:  Blog DACE

TRIP TO LONDON: April, 2014

LANGUAGE IMMERSION PROGRAMME IN LONDON: 5th- 12th April 2014

From the 5^th to the 12^th of April 2014, we took our ESO 4 students on a trip to London. They followed an immersion programme: they lived with English families as paying guests, had English lessons every morning and carried out an interesting programme of activities in the afternoons and evenings.

THEATRE. An interactive play: Derailed. JANUARY, 2014

On the 9th of January we took some of our students to see a theatre play: Derailed (by Face2Face). It was a didactic, interactive play, in which some of our students (the lucky members of the audience!!!) were chosen to act and be some of the eccentric characters on the train.

HALLOWEEN. 2013

This year our youngest students were especially looking forward to Halloween celebration. They took part in some contests: A Classroom Decoration Contest and Finding the Hidden Monsters Contest. Here are some pictures of that enjoyable day.
